Hair breakage is one of the most common hair problems women are having these days. How to fight: Try to determine which of your daily activity promotes hair breakage and dryness. For example, you are a swimmer, the chlorine in the pool may be the cause of your hair dilemma. In order to repair it, try to protect your hair from chlorine during your laps.
– Overstyling. As we have said before, the scalp produces oils that our hair needs. However, you are preventing such oils to do their jobs by overstyling your hair. Some of the tools used in styling our hair includes blow dryers, curling iron, straightening iron and others. What’s the common denominator of these tools? They produce and utilize heat. In turn, these tools fry and make your hair dry. Other process included in overstyling are the different hair treatments that you abuse.
How to fight: From time to time, try to ‘relax’ your hair and just let it be. For a few months, try to stay away from using your hair styling devices and go to salons only for hair moisturizing treatments. See how that can revitalize your hair!
– Stress. We all know that stress is already a part of our daily lives. Whatever you are stressed about– work, school or home– it will definitely show on your hair. Definitely, stress will not do any good for your hair, body or relationships.
How to fight: Try to stop sweating the small stuffs. I know this is not a hair care related tip but trust me, it can do wonders to your hair. We cannot prevent ourselves from being stressed. After all, this is a vital part of our lives. However, we can choose how to respond to it. When you are stressed out, try to still give your body not only the nutrition it needs, but the rest and relaxation as well.
– Imbalanced diet. What you eat will show—that is one thing to remember. If you are eating unhealthy foods, then your skin, body and hair will surely show it!
How to fight: Avoid foods that are rich in sugar and sodium. Opt for foods that are rich in fiber, protein and vitamins.
